I've had a long association with the beautiful and magical Isle of Man - having lived there on three separate occasions.

Bright and colourful Mannin Loveknot - reflecting the nature of the couple! I love the symmetry and colour scheme.

The Isle of Man is small island steeped in myths and folklore with a strong Celtic tradition. Slap dab in the middle of the Irish Sea.

The Celtic art I encountered there was deeply inspiring. My creativity was very high.

Kelly & Jim tied the knot and were gifted a Mannin LoveKnot - to mark the occasion!

It’s a joy to me to get to the end of a knot - usually late at night - when all is quiet and few are up - I sit - an stare at my work - for ages sometimes. Taking it in. Feeling it. Enjoying it. Conjuring the next knot. What could I do different?

I love it when balanced symmetry just pops up.

While drawing the original pencil version of the ManninKnot, I was struck by the sound and rhythm of the waves of the wily Irish Sea bashing against the rugged Manx coastline outside my window. Rolling crashing waves. Calm fury.
