Here’s the first version.
Sometimes I get to recycle knots.

...with a slightly different colour scheme. Sophie’s JoyKnot has the star sitting atop her name.

This is a Star of David JoyKnot woven with the name David.

One of my favourite knots!

I was born David with a mass of red hair. Very unruly. I caught the nickname of Rustie in Dublin.
And I kept it.

This Star of David Knot is a 6 pointed Star - basically made up of two triangles. Each triangle is 3 lines. It crosses itself 54 times:: 6:6:54

Filled this in to look like a landscape!

I tried to make the knot look like it just grew straight out of the flower pot.

90% of JoyKnots are commissions for newborns, birthdays, graduations - or just in celebration of a friend!

This was a commission - I liked it so much I did one for my mom’s birthday! Or mum as I spell it! Ha!

I do a lot of work that I would consider production. Exploring on the side is break from that. This was a little side exploration.

I love how crisp and clean this is even though its got a lot of details. I paint over the line far less these days.
